MacCaption Project Files (.cca)

MacCaption project file (.cca) is versatile format originally created for the purposes of MacCaption®. One of the distinct features of MacCaption is to segregate the captions in the project into different programs or tracks, as we call it in EZTitles, each possibly intended for different use - one containing the main text of the captions, another, for example, for the forced narratives, a third with the description of the sound effects heard, and so on. MacCaption files are supported only for import for now.

EZTitles is able to recognize/read up to 6 different programs (called Program A, B, C, D, E and F) and merge them together onto a single track or split them between the main and secondary subtitle tracks for now. This is configurable from the import configuration options:

Multiple programs can be imported on both the main and secondary track. It's not possible to import a program just on the secondary track and there should always be a program in the main track.

In addition, EZTitles will read and interpret correctly horizontal and vertical positioning, color information (the default 8 color palette is supported), italics, underline as well as closed captions styles: pop-on, paint-on and roll-up.
