NBCUniversal IMSC 1.1 (.ttml)

The NBC Universal IMSC 1.1 export is developed to comply with NBCUniversal's TechOps Inbound Specifications ver 2.4, December 2022. The following configuration are available:

Version

NBCUniversal's documentation specifies two type of deliveries: UHD/HDR and HD/SD with minimal differences except for text's presentation.

UHD/HDR - text's color required is gray (127 127 127 /  #7F7F7F) surrounded by 3% full range black (00 00 00 / #000000) outline;

HD/SD - text's color required is gray  (235 235 235 / #EBEBEB)  surround by 3% black (#101010) outline.

Language

Indicates the language in the subtitles file. It's very important to select the language accordingly especially when the export would create multilingual subtitles file.

Region

The language identifier tag consists of two parts Language ID + Country ID. For example, if we select "English (United States)" from the drop-down, the corresponding language tag will be: xml:lang="en-US".
When the Country ID isn't needed, activating the No Region checkbox will output just the Language ID: xml:lang="en".

Title and Description

The fields are automatically filled with the appropriate values from File Details or you can fill Title and Description manually.

Font settings

Allows you select specific Font or rather choose Generic Name of the font family.
Suggested font size is 80% for all languages except for Arabic and Asian (Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc) languages. Recommended size for Asian languages is 100%.

Timebase

Timebase is required to be set to TimeBase by specifiations.

Format

The recommended timing format is HH:MM:SS:FF but it's possible to switch to HH:MM:SS:NNN(NN) if needed.
