Import Configuration
You need first to select the code page (encoding) to match that of the subtitle file. You can also import native Unicode UTF-8 and UTF-16 text files.
There’s a warning message displayed if you’re working in a non-Unicode mode and trying to import a Unicode text file and vice versa.
Here is a list of commonly used code pages:

It is recommended to switch Include Italics on. The program will interpret the special italic start/stop tags and import the corresponding text as italicized.
If the file you wished to import comes in some non Latin language like Greek, Arabic, even some European language, it will most probably contain the TAB symbol as the default attributes delimiter. Check the Tab Delimited option to read the file correctly.
Please note that effects such as outline or box are not supported by this format.
