3DTitles is intended to add depth to subtitles created in standard way as you may already have found.

Please be aware that there are some requirements for subtitling in 3D. When the subtitles are displayed within the 3D environment there is additional time required for the viewer's eye to re-converge to read the subtitle and subsequently converge again to focus on the action. That usually takes up to about one second each time. This means that a given subtitle must be present on the screen for perhaps an additional 2 or 3 seconds depending on the difference between the depth of action and subtitle's position on the screen.
