Project TemplatesAdjusting your project settings each time you convert a file can be fairly tedious. We have addressed that, and now you can save your project settings to a template to be able to reuse them later.
The conversion then takes just a few mouse clicks — open the Project Settings, select the appropriate template, load the file to EZConvert, and all the attributes like the safe area, fonts and presentation styles will automatically apply to your subtitle file.
For your convenience, all the templates can be arranged in groups according to your preferences — you can group them by the resolution of the output file, the target output format or in any other way you may find useful.
Command Line UtilityThe command-line version of EZConvert is also included in the package. This version offers batch conversion of single or multiple files using wildcards for the file names. It can also be used in batch scripts, scheduled events etc.
It is so powerful that it actually works as an API for EZConvert and can be integrated into your Content Management System.
Export warningsEZConvert will warn you about any formatting style or presentation attribute not supported by the file format you are exporting to.
Watch Folder as a Windows ServiceNow you can install the Watch Folder module as a Windows Service. This way it will work regardless of whether or not you are logged in, which makes it perfect for running on servers and in some complex workflow setups.
Quality ControlWhether you are running automated conversions via the Watch Folder or just using the GUI to convert a single file, you can now benefit from EZConvert’s extensive Quality Control Checks.
They will save you time and effort by indicating the most common errors found in subtitle files — inconsistent cues, reading speed and safe area problems, as well as use of illegal characters or inapplicable formatting styles/presentation controls. The checks will inform you on any errors found.
Digital CinemaEZConvert can easily handle files for Digital Cinema.
