Define your Custom Formats
If your authoring system or file format is not supported
by our software, you can define your own layouts. Almost every element of
the exported file is customizable.
Digital Cinema ready
Supports Texas Instruments CineCanvas™ XML- based subtitles for DLP Cinema™ projection system and the SMPTE 428-7-2007 DCDM (Digital Cinema Distribution Master) XML specifications.
Colors
EZTitles supports color subtitles in Teletext and
Open/DVD modes. The limitations of the currently chosen format or
authoring system are considered.

Shot Change Detection
One of the truly remarkable features of EZTitles 3.5 is the automatic snap to shot changes during the time coding. And there are also tools that allow you to fix already created subtitles.
The detection works in background so you can still use EZTitles at its full potential while the video file is processed.
Timeline
It displays not only the audio and the video but the subtitles and the shot change boundaries as well. Navigation is as simple as it could get. For example, you can drag the subtitle’s in and out-cues to a new position just using the mouse. And that will automatically snap to shot changes boundaries.
Spell Checker
Highlights the spelling errors as you type. Also a list with suggestions for the misspelled word, custom dictionary, etc. is available. These
features require MS Word or Open Office with support for the languages used.
Comprehensive checks
Done in background, they indicate inconsistent cues, reading speed
and safe area problems. The Checks command allows you to check against various
conditions: cues and reading speed problems, safe area, raised subtitles, intervals
between subtitles, etc.
Fully customizable shortcuts and toolbars
Shortcuts and toolbars are made to suit your individual style with floating and docked toolbars,
changeable layout and visual style.
Project Manager
The easiest way to create different project pre-sets to meet the individual requirements of your customers. Thus every time you start a new file you don't need to go through all the pages to verify the settings.
What You See Is What You Get
The subtitle text is displayed and edited over the video so you
can adjust the subtitle properties depending on the underlying picture.
TV out
If your computer has two monitors or TV out, the second display
can be used for full screen preview.
Windows compliant application
All standard Windows editing and navigation techniques are supported,
allowing anyone familiar with the Windows user interface to run the program
without any special training.

Lists with thumbnails - fast and easy navigation
List of all subtitles is displayed on the right side of the screen,
containing the subtitle attributes and the corresponding picture. Small icons
next to the subtitle indicates duration and safe area problems.
Preview Mode
The preview mode shows the movie and the subtitles as it will be
played in the final product. The user has full control over the video playback
and can change the In- and Out-cues if a lack of synchronization is found.
Speed-up and keep speech understandable
Advanced audio filter is implemented that allows you to play at
speeds 1.5x and 2x without pitching the audio. In this way you can preview the
movie at 1.5x speed and thus save significant amount of time.
Frame-accurate positioning
Audio scrubbing is available in single frame forward/backward.
This feature allows you to pinout cues with a precision up to a single frame!
Fast access to all parts of the movie
The movie can be played forward and backward with speed from 0.1x
to 400x. Audio is available in speeds up to 4x.
From Video File
MPEG1, MPEG2, AVI,WMV (with embedded time code) and Apple
QuickTime .MOV video files are supported. All installed codec can be used, including DivX and Xvid.
Import video from DVD
Import video directly from your DVD drive using the installed
on your computer DVD decoders. For best quality you can try with one of the DVD
decoders we recommend:
Capture from VCR or DV
If your movie is on a video tape you can use the video capture
features. EZTitles allows you to record the video on the hard disk drive and simultaneously
create/edit subtitles on the same file.
Live Video
The video coming from the VCR is displayed directly on the screen and the playback can
be controlled with the VCR remote control. Timecode reader is required for subtitling in Live Video mode.
